God’s Truth is the life-saving, life-changing, soul-satisfying, soul-cleansing message that the world around us needs. With truth so great, we feel compelled to create opportunities for discussion with our community. We hold various formal and informal events designed to enable us to get to know our neighbors and present to them the opportunity of eternally enjoying a life in fellowship with Christ.
Lake Como Day – We set up a booth loaded with literature, make balloon animals and hand out Bibles. The Youth Group always comes on out and makes up dozens of free funnel cakes. You can check out photos from past outreaches here.
St. Patrick’s Day – While each year’s outreach is slightly different, our general goal is to bless our neighbors through giving out literature, free food, playing live Irish music, sometimes walking in the parade, etc. Come out for this blustery day of outreach and service!
Day of Prayer – Scripture calls us to be people of prayer. Among the many items we ought to regularly bring before the Lord is for wisdom and righteousness within our countries leaders. We take this day as an opportunity to let our community know that they are in our prayers. We assemble at the town hall at noon and together beseech the Lord’s blessings and guidance for our leaders, soldiers and community employees.
Food Drives/Collections – We have an ongoing Food Drive ministry that collects food for nearby Food Pantries. If you would like to donate food to this ministry, please leave non-perishable foods in the large plastic bin in the front foyer by the coat rack.
