ADMINISTRATION
Some
Christians (consider administration)…a secondary gift, appearing less important
than other functions of service. Frequently one hears pastors consider
(administration being) nonessential, uninteresting, and less spiritual than,
say, preaching, teaching, or counseling…
People who reason this way misunderstand a significant biblical concept
that sets forth the function of administration as a cherished spiritual gift.

There is
nothing unscriptural in planning, although to hear some people talk today one
would think there is. I fear that some are in danger of subscribing to a new
form of “the god of the gaps,” so that the Holy Spirit is only at work in the spontaneous and immediate.
